Before his execution,\u00a0<strong>Missak Manouchian<\/strong>, one of the resistants, wrote a poignant letter to his beloved wife M\u00e9lin\u00e9e. This tragic episode and its love letter inspired French poet\u00a0<strong>Aragon<\/strong>\u00a0one of his heart-wrenching poems\u00a0<em><strong>&#8220;Strophes pour se souvenir&#8221;<\/strong><\/em>, celebrating the lives of these 23 heroes. In 1961, this poem was turned into a\u00a0moving song,\u00a0<em><strong>&#8220;L&#8217;Affiche rouge&#8221;<\/strong><\/em>, by French singer L\u00e9o Ferr\u00e9, song then covered beautifully by Feu!
