Counting the days to Christmas<\/h1>\n<\/div>\n

This week, we’re counting down the days, hours, seconds… to Christmas, budgeting our holiday shopping and other festive activities as we practise our French numbers<\/strong>\u00a0\ud83d\udd22\ud83c\udf84<\/p>\n

As we’re enjoying opening the windows of our Advent calendars (including the great interactive Kwiziq Advent Calendar below!), it’s the perfect time to remember that in French, we use cardinal numbers<\/strong> (deux,trois,douze…)<\/em> to express dates<\/strong>, instead of the ordinal numbers used in English, with one<\/strong> notable exception: the 1st of the month, where we use premier<\/strong><\/em> (first)\u00a0\ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n
