This week, we’re wiping our tears of joy while thanking the whole world as we celebrate the Movie Awards season<\/strong>\u00a0\ud83d\udcfd\ufe0f\ud83d\udc4f<\/p>\n

To help you shine at your next awards party, here are some interesting facts about the C\u00e9sars<\/strong>, also known as the “French Oscars”: the first C\u00e9sars ceremony<\/strong> took place on April 3, 1976 and was presided over by legendary French actor Jean Gabin; the C\u00e9sar trophy is not gold-plated like an Oscar, but is a polished-bronze sculpture designed by artist C\u00e9sar Baldaccini, hence its name; and finally, the films “Cyrano de Bergerac”<\/em> (1990) and “Le Dernier M\u00e9tro”<\/em> (1980) hold the record for the most wins, with 10 trophies each, while Isabelle Adjani<\/strong> is the most rewarded actor with 5 C\u00e9sars.
