Easter Chicks & April Fools<\/h1>\n

This week, we’re getting out our pastels and cutest decorations, as well as stocking up on chocolate eggs to joyfully celebrate Easter<\/strong>\u00a0\ud83c\udf6b\ud83d\udc25\ud83e\udeba<\/p>\n

But why is Easter called “P\u00e2ques”<\/strong><\/span> in French? The singular word P\u00e2que<\/span> comes from the Hebrew Pessa’h<\/span> (ou Passah<\/span>), meaning “passing” or “crossing”. It’s useful to know that the singular<\/strong> version La P\u00e2que<\/span> refers to the Jewish celebration of Passover, whereas the plural<\/strong> version (Les) P\u00e2ques<\/strong><\/span> refers to the Christian celebration of Christ’s resurrection.\u00a0\ud83d\udd4d\u26ea<\/p>\n
