There are many types of second-hand markets, so here’s a useful guide to their names and differences in French! If you like browsing a casual weekend market, you’ll be more likely to visit un vide-grenier<\/em> (literally an “attic-emptier”, a car boot\/garage sale) or un bric-\u00e0-brac<\/em>. If you’re more into vintage and antique bargains, then head to a rustic brocante<\/em> (antique fair), a trendy friperie<\/em> (vintage clothes shop) or a march\u00e9 aux puces<\/em> (flea market). The pleasure of chiner<\/em> (bargain-seeking\/vintage-hunting) is only matched by the ultimate victory of faire une bonne affaire<\/em> (to get a good deal), am I right?\u00a0\ud83e\udd1d\ud83d\udcb8\ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n
