French Test Leaderboards generating heat!

Things have been heating up around here at Kwiziq thanks to our new French Test Leaderboard.

We had a suspicion that adding a competitive element to our tests would get people motivated to test their way to perfect French and we weren’t wrong. Between them, our top testers have taken more than 500 of our personalised French quizzes in the last three weeks in a bid to get onto the March 2014 list of Top Ten Testers.

We’ve deliberately made this a leaderboard of how many tests were taken and not the highest scores, because the point of taking our tests isn’t just getting the answers right every time, but finding out where you make mistakes in French so you can correct yourself and learn.

Low-stakes testing (or quizzing) has been scientifically proven to be one of the most effective learning strategies, with amazing positive impact on recall – sometimes as much as 300% better!

So, if you really want to learn French fast, get your quiz hat on and start testing your French!

You should include the ranking of the next 5-10 people above me into my dashboard because if it only takes 1 or 2 quizzes to jump above those people, I would do it :-) And of course, I would want to jump above the next 5-10 people again.

Thanks Johnny - that's a neat idea! I'll put it to the team.
