I love how the audio has a female voice saying each of the feminine nouns, and a male voice for the masculine ones. I expect that actually will help us to remember the gender for these listed body parts if we play it a few times -- thank you!

As Chris says there are ways to guess the gender of words by looking for patterns and there will always be exceptions like for instance words ending in 'ette'are normally feminine apart from le squelette( skeleton) which is masculine. That is why it's a good idea to always memorize words with an article -
'Les fesses' is a mainstream noun, while 'bum' is slang (with these days a touch of euphemism about it). Wouldn't you think 'buttocks' would be a better match? Just listen to Tom Hanks saying the word in Forrest Gump for practice!

Use a sheet of paper with a drawing"parts of the human body" place it somewhere in your room wall/door:include just those parts most difficult to remenber.
In the simple diagram I drew in my notebook, I used blue and pink highlighting pens to outline the body parts, which quickly helped to learn the correct gender. Now I need to learn the actual words - Ha!
How are they pronounced?
Eyes, Nose, lips, ears, palms of the hand?
Hi Chris
When you come to examples that use parts of the body, there will be audio clips for you.
Agree that they are not in that lesson and you will have to search for the specific words
This might help vocabulary/body/
L'œil.. .. you can search in French or English.

Is there any logic to the gender of body parts or is it just random to be memorized?
The general guidelines for "guessing" a noun's gender apply, though. There's a lesson on this:

la tête = the head
le pied = the foot
la bouche = the mouth
etc.
Bonne Continuation !

Hi Lucien,
I have changed the ‘les fesses’ translation to the buttocks.
Thank you for pointing this out...
