Indeed, here I must admit to a very unfortunate "anglicisme" :(

You are indeed correct and Aurélie has added an -e to :

un ovale

Thank you for your input but unfortunately, I beg to differ.

The form "oval" is simply not found in any of the French dictionaries I was able to check. There is one and only one form - "ovale". It is a noun and it has an -e in the end.

Here's its definition on Le Robert, for example:

Larousse also only lists “ovale” (nom masculin), so I think that Yuxuan and others may be right!

Yes, I have noted this too. Un ovale is correct.
