It sounded like it must be very funny in French. Certainly the audience seemed to think so.
I could not follow it spoken at that speed.
But from the transcript it seems very tame, except maybe the pun about his name.

Yes, this is a classic sketch in France, and the line "Where is Brian?" is often quoted :)
But I agree that it seems to have aged a bit, since I watched it as a young adult ;)
Still good to know as a common French reference!
