Newsletter: My My My... Precious

🤗My My My… Precious💜

This week, we’re focussing on these little words that help us express our deep attachment to things, people… les adjectifs possessifs 🥰

In French, as in all Romance languages, picking the correct possessive adjective (my, your, his, her, our, their) depends not only on who the possessor is (me, you…), but also on the possession’s gender and number. But ne vous inquiétez pas, with a bit of practice, you’ll quickly get the hang of it! 😅

Alors, sans plus attendre, let’s own this side of French grammar, thanks to the awesome Kwiziq content we’ve selected for you!

Hugo tells us about his and his friends’ lovely pets in the following text, packed with French possessive adjectives:

Mes amis et moi, on a tous nos propres animaux de compagnie. Moi, j’ai mon berger allemand Pip et mon adorable lapine Carotte. Ma copine Sabrina a deux chats, Kitty et Matou, et chacun a son jouet préféré : Kitty aime sa balle et Matou ne jure que par son arbre à chats ! Mon ami Tom a un hamster et un cochon d’Inde qui partagent leur habitat. Et vous, quel est votre animal de compagnie ?”
