Email subject : Congratulations on your degree! Dear Thomas, we really wanted to congratulate you for getting your Master's degree in English with distinction! Your uncle and I are very proud of you. We know that you worked hard to get there, and we're so happy that all those hours of studying, all those sacrificed holidays and all that lost sleep were not in vain! And the distinction! What a cherry on top! You'd told us that you didn't believe it [would happen], that you'd be satisfied with the passing grade... You sure fooled us! We tried to call you to congratulate you personally, but you probably spent last night celebrating [that] by going out and having fun with your friends! We'll try again later, and in the meantime, once again all our congratulations my darling!

Getting that for you now.
