Changes in pronunciation?

If an adjective in the masculine has a silent -e, does the pronunciation change in the feminine?

Bonjour Neha,

No, the pronunciation won't change in this case as per the lesson:

"when the adjective already ends in a mute -e in the masculine form, it doesn’t change in the feminine.”

un jeune homme = a young man

une jeune femme = a young woman

un véhicule rapide = a fast vehicle

une voiture rapide a fast car

Listen to the examples in the lesson to hear how the adjectives are pronounced.

I hope this is helpful.

Bonne journée !
