I just want to point out that I wrote "confiture de fraises" which was marked wrong and corrected with "confiture de fraise" in the singular. I have always thought the plural form to be correct and both Larousse and Collins dictionaries list "confiture de fraises" as "strawberry jam".

At the least, both plural and singular are in regular use nowadays.
If the links to Carrefour work, you can see that Bonne Maman, for example, switches between plural and singular forms a bit willy-nilly on its labels.
Interestingly, at least on labels and in shop advertising the "de" is often dropped as well - similar to the established use of ' sauce tomate(s) ' colloquially.
