Après les excès de Noël et du Nouvel An, ça doit être une bonne cure de détox ! Since the excess applies to both Christmas and the New Year, why do we have de Noël and du Nouvel An? Why not de Nouvel An ? English speakers are used to parallelism. Does this concept not apply in French?
