Re quizzing our studyplan

Hey there, I am wondering if I am doing something wrong.  When I get my Studyplan, I go through the list, often will be something like "kept 8, here's two new topics" and so will do the new lessons and then go to the longer test.  I have pressed "Test Recommended again" at the top as well as the "test again" at the bottom of the results page.  When I do this, I will often get questions on topics I have not yet studied.  Why is this??

Hi Jane

If you test against your studyplan (using the button above the plan), then you should only be tested on what is in it - however, the studyplan is updated after every kwiz (unless Kwizbot decides to keep it the same). So, if you click test recommended again from the Kwiz Report, straight after a Studplan kwiz (without going to the dashboard to see if it changed), you might be tested on new topics if they've been introduced.

I can see how this could be confusing. I'll have a think about what to do here, but I'd recommend for the time being going via the dash and looking at the list if this bothers you.

Kwizbot is trying to optimise the efficiency of your practice based on what he knows about you, but he'll bring topics back into the mix to perfect later on - they don't disappear forever. If you feel you want to continue to practise something specific though that he's moved you on from, then you can always add that topic to your own notebook and kwiz against that instead. Notebooks are an awesome way to take control over and manage your own study.

If this explanation doesn't account for the behaviour you're experiencing though, it may be a bug, in which case please report it!

Thanks for this feedback, it's very helpful!

Thanks, I will do that.  I really like the format, and find the lessons easy to understand and enjoy seeing my "scores" go up.  I just feel like I could use a bit more repetition at times, and that the new material is coming a bit fast.  I am trying to learn French for fun. I took French in high school and some university.  When I started I was reviewing what I had learned many years ago, but now I am into new material and it is a bit more challenging.   I found  KwizIQ from a Duolingo member who had recommended it. I am using both now.  Duolingo is sometimes too repetitive and does not provide enough explanation but I am finding it is really helping me solidify what I am learning with KwizIQ.
