This excerise, says 'soudain' instead of 'soudainment'... can someone speak to this for me please :) Or point me to a lesson! Thank you.

Valerie,
it is an unusual one, but ‘ soudain ‘ is used as an adverb in its own right, as well as being an adjective.
It is a synonym of ‘ soudainement ‘ as an adverb and can translate to English as ‘suddenly’

Thomas,
What is wrong ? Are you just referring to the inadvertent misspelling in the original question ?
The use of soudain as an adverb is correct, as would the use of soudainement have been.
