Bonjour, why is it not 'nous sommes arrivées'? I put an extra 'e' because Marie is a female.

Salut Carrie,

This a mixed couple, male and female. The grammar conjugation defaults to male in this context therefore the past participle is invariable. If the couple had been all female then you would have been correct.
