Coordinating conjunctions (conjonctions de coordination) are words that link words, phrases, or independent clauses to show an equal relationship between them.

For example

• Est-ce que tu veux un café ou un thé ? - Do you want coffee or tea?
• Jean aime le football et Marie aime le rubgy. - Jean likes football and Marie likes rugby.
