Academy Awards à la française
This week, we’re wiping our tears of joy while thanking the whole world as we celebrate the Movie Awards season 📽️👏
To help you shine at your next awards party, here are some interesting facts about the Césars, also known as the “French Oscars”: the first Césars ceremony took place on April 3, 1976 and was presided over by legendary French actor Jean Gabin; the César trophy is not gold-plated like an Oscar, but is a polished-bronze sculpture designed by artist César Baldaccini, hence its name; and finally, the films “Cyrano de Bergerac” (1990) and “Le Dernier Métro” (1980) hold the record for the most wins, with 10 trophies each, while Isabelle Adjani is the most rewarded actor with 5 Césars. You’re welcome! 😉
Alors, sans plus attendre, hold on tight to your golden statue while discovering the outstanding French Kwiziq content we’ve selected for you! 🎬🥹

Words Words Words
Cinema Vocabulary – B1 Level
In this awards season, you’ll need all the technical words to talk about your favourite contenders. We’ve got you covered with our star-studded Cinema vocabulary list and its interactive Word Game.
Another great way to remember new vocabulary is to write sentences using it in context. Here’s an example for you to get inspired:
