Hello there,
Firstly, thank you very much for the writing challenges; I am finding them really helpful.
I have one question regarding the C1 exercise 'French Rugby Team.' In the translation for 'Let's hope that the new recruits have a positive impact' the subjunctive is used but in the 'Subjunctivisor' explanation, it would seem that the subjunctive is used in the negative and interrogative but not in the affirmative where the future is normally used? Many thanks.

Bonjour Helen !

Actually, you will indeed use Le Subjonctif when the meaning of espérer is close to souhaiter (to wish) which contains the notion of uncertainty.
Espérons que ce soit le cas. Let's hope/wish it's the case.

I hope that's helpful!
À bientôt !
