New Improvement Timelines

This week we released an update to our Improvement Timelines which appear on your Dashboard when you log in.

The new Timelines better take into account improvements in your knowledge and confidence through deep testing of French grammar. In other words, the system now scores you higher when you consistently demonstrate good knowledge on a topic in our French grammar tests. The result is a much more motivating progress chart over time!

We’ve also made some underlying changes that won’t be visible yet to students, in preparation for our freeform answer feature. We’re very excited about this: Once you have demonstrated that you can answer questions on a given topic with good scores in multiple choice tests, Kwiziq (our smart testing technology) will graduate you onto answering them freeform, so you type the answers instead and get even higher scores. It’s not ready yet, but I’ll be blogging more about it when it is.

And there’s a lot more coming over the next few months! Stay tuned…
