Follow the Recipe

This week, we’re learning to follow recipes, advice and other instructions by practising our conjugations in L’Impératif 😋

The first rule of L’Impératif is: we don’t talk about… Nope! Wrong rule! First (and second) things to remember when conjugating in the French imperative mood is that: there are only three “conjugation persons”: tu, nous, vous, AND the imperative form is not used with a subject pronoun 😊

Alors, sans plus attendre, let’s obey the urge to discover all the tasty French Kwiziq content we’ve selected for you! 🫡

Laurent and Alicia are preparing a delicious cake salé in the following dialogue, packed with verbs in L’Impératif:

“- Lis-moi la prochaine étape, s’il te plaît.
– Dans un bol, mélangez les œufs et la farine, puis ajoutez une pincée de sel.
– C’est fait ! Dis-moi la suite.
– Découpez le jambon en dés, puis ajoutez-les à votre pâte, ainsi que les olives vertes. Mélangez bien le tout, puis versez-le dans votre moule. N’oubliez pas de bien le graisser avant !
– Ça y est ! Mettons-le au four… On va se régaler !”
