In order to use Le Conditionnel Présent, simply remember that the French conditional conjugations are basically a crossover between Le Futur Simple stems – i.e. regular infinitive or specific irregular stems – and L’Imparfait endings – –ais, -ais, -ait, -ions, -iez, -aient. 😊

Let’s keep on dreaming… Oliver imagines what he would do if he could live in Paris in the following text, packed with verbs in Le Conditionnel Présent:

“J’adorerais vivre à Paris ! Je vivrais dans un bel appartement sous les toits, d’où j’aurais une vue magnifique sur la Seine et la tour Eiffel. Je ferais les boutiques constamment, et je porterais les vêtements les plus chics. Et oui, bien sûr, je pourrais mettre des bérets tout le temps ! Chaque matin, j’irais à la boulangerie et j’achèterais une baguette et des viennoiseries délicieuses, puis je me promènerais sur les quais de la Seine. Ce serait un rêve devenu réalité !”
