French icon Edith Piaf was a Parisian through and through. Born on the gritty streets of Belleville, its working-class atmosphere heavily influenced her music. Whether it was through her typical “titi parisien” accent, her memorable banter, or the topics and lyrics of her songs, her attachment to the French capital shone throughout her life. And the love was and still is reciprocical, as many Parisian landmarks are associated with her, including the Musée Edith Piaf, the Olympia theatre, and her final resting place at Père-Lachaise Cemetery.
