I used to love going to the cinema [US: the movies] when I was a teenager. I often went (there) with my best friend Bruno. We always bought (some) popcorn and we sat in the middle of the theatre. Our favourite films were horror films, and we also saw all the Marvel films. But now that I'm a bit older, I prefer watching films at home. I have a big screen and a good sound system, and I don't have to listen to other people. Plus, I can pause the film when I need to go to the toilet [US:bathroom]!
