Auquel vs Duquel

In the quick lesson you use the example Ce problème, auquel je ne comprends rien, m'énerve Why is it auquel and not duquel ( or de qui) since comprendre is a transitive verb ? What am I missing?

Bonjour Gerd,
The original expression is "ne rien comprendre à [quelque chose]". Therefore, you will need to use the preposition à with lequel -> auquel.

Je ne comprends rien à ce cours de mathématiques = I don't understand anything about this maths lesson
Je ne comprends rien à ce problème = I don't understand anything about this problem
Ce problème, auquel je ne comprends rien, m'énerve = This problem, about which I understand nothing, is getting on my nerves!

-> to not understand anything about something specific
 
VS

Je ne comprends rien = I don't understand anything
Je ne comprends pas la politique = I don't understand politics

-> to not understand anything in a general sense
