Elle pardonne à Paul et elle .....(forgives us)
I thought about this question and as far as I know either elle pardonne à nous or elle nous pardonne would be correct. I chose elle pardonne à nous thinking it was parallel structure, but it was marked incorrect. Tell me how I should have known the correct response.

After reading your question, I understand the confusion on this; however, let's take a look at this phrase:  Maxim pardoned Paul and her --> Maxim a pardonné à Paul et lui.  In this structure Paul and her are not part of the group, alors nous ne pouvons pas utiliser «nous».

No it was to read: "Elle pardon à Paul et elle nous pardonne." I had used "Elle pardon à Paul et elle pardon à nous."
