Chercher vs trouver

Hi there,

Can we say "pour trouver le cadeau parfait" as well a "pour chercher le cadeau parfait"?

Hi Joanne,

The text defines "looking for" therefore "chercher". Had it required "to find" then I would agree that "trouver" could be appropriate?

So in English, we probably would use the two verbs interchangeably but that is not the point of the lesson.

That's the way I see it  --  hope it helps.
