The subject is La situation 

You seem to have used a subjunctive conjugation which is incorrect, the conjugation needs to be indicatif present (devient)

Hi Milena,

first off, devenir is a verb and, as such, it doesn't reflect grammatical gender at all. There is no feminine or masculine version of the verb. The 3rd person singular is devient and is the same for il devient, elle devient and on devient.
