Hi Rebelorieda  and Andrew,

You cannot say ‘des’ here as it would be ‘of the friends’.

It is simply ‘un couple d’amis’.

Hi Rebelorieda,

Do you have a specific question?

Andrew R.A1Kwiziq community member

Could you please explain why the plural is "couple d'amis" instead of "couple des amis"? (I have the same question as the original poster). Thank you. Is it possibly because "un couple" is itself singular?

Merci.

I would have said avec quelques amis and I think that very correct as well :)

couple des amis????
