des nouvelles bottes/ de nouvelles bottes
This question relates to:French lesson ""Des" becomes " de/d' " in front of adjectives preceding nouns (French Partitive Articles)"
Asked 3 years ago
Hi Titilayo,
As I see it, the bottes (boots) are a specific and countable noun.
So we have the plural definite article being used here (jalouse de(preposition) + les --> des)
This is not the Indefinite des that would contract to de before an adjective.
I think that this is the answer to your query.
Hope it helps.
Jim
