Quand is an indicator of futur anterieur, when quand is used with simple, isn't next tense is anterieur?
My mentor taught it something like that..
Don't we use futur anterieur when quand is used?

No, quand doesn' tautomatically take or imply the futur antérieur, although it may also be used with it. This often happens when you use quand to talk about an action that will have happened after a previous action, and both actions lie in the future.
In English, you will often use "once" in these cases instead of "when". Here are some examples:
Quand j'aurai fini mes devoirs, je regarderai la télé. -- Once I'll have finished my homework, I'll watch TV.
Quand tu auras lu ce livre, tu comprendras mieux. -- Once you'll have read that book, you'll understand better.
