For "Je me fais appeler" what does the "fais" mean? What are you doing/making to your name??

Bonjour Sharissa,

See link on ‘Faire + L’Infinitif’ – pay particular attention to the section ‘se faire + [infinitive] + [object] → If the thing is being done to or for the subject of the verb, you use the reflexive form ‘se faire’.

Je me fais couper les cheveux = I have my hair cut

Elle se fait appeler Mimi = She calls herself Mimi

Ils ont fait peindre leur portrait = They got their portrait done
