fois et multiplié par

Bonjour,Can fois and multiplié be interchangeable?I couldn't see the difference between them...Merci beaucoup

As it says in the lesson _
Multiplications
We can use fois (times) or multiplié par (multiplied by).

Just to add a note that this is only in the mathematical context.

Je vous remercie mille fois = Thank you a thousand times
J'ai fait la même chose quatre fois = I did the same thing four times.

Interchangeable, note though that for 'one' you need to use "une fois ..." but "un multiplié par .. ' ',  because 'une fois' uses the noun 'fois' which is feminine.
