Quelle est la différence entre "d'abord," "au début," et "pour commencer ?" Il y a des nuances d'utilisation ?

Bonjour Kalpana, 
On accepte "d'abord" , "tout d'abord" et "pour commencer" pour 'for a start/ to start with', et ils indiquent une suite.
Mais "au début" signifie 'at the beginning' qui n'irait pas du tout ici car cela indique une période de temps en comparaison avec une autre:

J'ai eu du mal m'habituer aux changements au début mais maintenant ça va = I found it hard to get used to the changes at the beginning but it's okay now.
Au début de sa carrière il ne gagnait pas beaucoup = He didn't earn a lot at the beginning of his career
