Bonjoru M,
I'm glad you found the answer you were looking for. The distinction between mieux and meilleur can definitely be tricky for French learners.
Don't hesitate to take a peek at the previous comments/queries posted on the lesson page, as more often than not, someone got stuck on the same thing already and it's most likely already been explained by one of our brilliant Kwiziq community members or by a member of the team.
Bonne journée !
the above info doesnt really explain it well for me (i dont even understand why is Debra L. mixing comparitives and superlatives here but... appreciate the help...) but i figured it out (posting this since it's public anyway...)
it is mieux because the one in front used bien, so i would need to use the comparative of bien here. i got confused because le mien est meilleur would totally work as a sentence itself.
appreciate Céline for offering me the link (i think i missed this "When mieux, the comparative of bien, is an adjective, it’s used with copular (state-of-being) verbs and means "better" along the lines of sense of more moral, satisfying, healthy, or attractive.") i would appreciate a direct answer because i was already too frustrated, but appreciate a lot for posting the exact info i needed! took me too long to figure out whats going on...would refine my question next time i post, i was way too frustrated.
please correct me if i got anything wrong. appreciate it!
