Imperative - Fill in the blanks question

"In the fill-in-the blanks exercise "Une soirée mouvementée (Passé Composé with être)" the first sentence is an imperative "Laissez-moi vous raconter ce qu'il nous est arrivé!" why Laissez -moi and not just Laisse-moi ?"

Hi Dragana,

Without the full context, it is difficult to tell but you would use -

Laisse-moi .... when you are addressing just one person ( who you say 'tu' to)

or

Laissez-moi... when you are addressing a person ( you say 'vous' to) or a number of persons

Hope this helps!
