Je sais le faire
The translation according to the lesson is "I can do it" but surely to express "I can do it" is "Je peux le faire"?

Bonjour Jim !
"Je sais le faire." can also mean "I can do it" in the sense of "I know how to do it / I have that skill":
"Je sais nager." = I can swim/I know how to swim
-> here saying "Je peux nager" would mean you're able to do it then, or you're allowed to do it, not necessarily that you have that skill.
I hope that's helful!

Thanks Aurélie,
That is much clearer now, I understand your point.

Alan
