je viens I'm from- city
This question relates to:French lesson "Je viens de + [ville] = I'm from + [city] in French"
Asked 2 weeks ago
Bonjour Willow,
The lesson explains that
"D'où is the contraction of de + où (from + where)"
It is part of the verb: venir de + [location] (= to come from + [location]).
Tu viens d'où ? - Je viens de Paris. = Where do you come from? - I come from Paris.
I hope this is helpful.
Bonne journée !
