Past participle of vouloir

Question

Hello, The correct answer was ...Ces chaussures, je les ai (voulues) immédiatement.

Why is, Ces chaussures, je les ai voulu immédiatement not listed as choice. The past particle of vouloir is voulu. Thanks for your help.

In this case < les > is the direct object pronoun, plural (and feminine, because it replaces < ces chaussures > ). Therefore the past participle < voulu > takes the terminal < -es > in agreement.
