Quais vs Oui

Question

In the last vignette, is quais incorrect for the dialogue?  isn't Oui correct?

Bonjour Joseph,
In french, to say "yes", you can use either "ouais" (familiar) or "oui". I checked the exercise and both options are included and spelt correctly. As you mentioned, "quais" is not correct here.
