I was just going through the listening practice liked to below. The first sentence is:
Les soldes d'hiver de cette année se sont révélée.
And the word soldes doesn't sound right to me. Is it just me?
I have listened to the audio and it does say clearly -
"Les soldes d'hiver ..."
if a bit fast, but as it is a B2 exercise, I think it is acceptable.
The word 'soldes' is often reduced to a one-syllable word and I think that this is the problem here.

May be there are some technical 'glitches', as I can clearly hear «sold-e(s)» as 2 syllables so that the 2 'd' sounds are distinctly separated.
