Some of these sentences are a bit silly as in order to know whether a particular sentence requires a direct or an indirect object pronoun, I need to see more of the sentence. I'm getting marked down for things I can't see until the next slide.

Hi James,

Like Chris, I have done the exercise and the only object pronouns that I  found are three indirect pronouns displayed as follows -

1. ... and I showed her the different models -----> et je lui ai montré les différents modèles

[verbe = montrer quelque chose à quelqu'un ]

2. She replied [to me ]-----> elle m'a répondu

[verbe =répondre à quelqu'un]

3. But when I explained [to her] -----> Mais quand je lui ai expliqué

[verbe = expliquer quelque chose à quelqu'un]

Bonne Continuation

I had a look at the exercise, and I couldn't find what you are referring to. All the sentences (or parts thereof) seem to be well defined and answerable with the information available. Can you be more specific?
