Subject and object

Question

Hi,can anyone help please...in the French sentences. 1 " dites- moi ce qui vous intéresse"  and 2 " dites- moi ce que vous préférez, in the first sentence ce qui is described as the subject of the verb,and in the second ce que is described as the object of the I'm generally ok with ce qui  being followed by verb in case 1 and ce que being followed by subject pronoun or noun in case 2. So, in case 2 is vous the subject and in case 1 what is the subject/ object/verb relationship ?

Bonjour John,Both préférer and intéresser are transitive verbs as is dire.In the second case then "dites-moi ce que vous préférez" --> tell me what you prefer. Vous is the direct object of the verb préférer.In the first case, vous is the direct object of intéresser.In the first case, the conjugation suggests that vous is the subject with moi the stress pronoun  -- but in the impérarif mood (as an instruction to do something - you tell me ....)Bonne journéeJim

Hi John, In the first sentence, ce qui is indeed the subject and vous the direct object.In the second sentence, vous is the subject, ce que the direct object.
