In the quiz a question is mentioned as: Tu prononçais mal tes "s". "s" being one alphabet it may be said as "ton". Hope It is right.

Your remark makes sense, but here the sentence is correct in French. Here's why :)

In this context, we're talking about a pronunciation defect that the person had: they couldn't pronounce any "s" sound. So in French here, we'll use the plural to mean "you could not pronounce any "s" sounds".
