Can I say "téléphonons -lui"? If not, why?  I thought the l'imperatif can be used for the 1re pers au pluriel ( aka nous )? I googled it but I couldn'

Hi Hudson,

Yes, you can say -

'Téléphonons-lui' for Let's ring him and it is the nous form as in -

Allons-y != Let's go! 

The -s in those is 'us' in English, the nous form in French.
