which I thought sounded as if it were missing its “v” sound. I’m not the most experienced at “hearing French”, but when playing the word “recevra” via a couple if other translator apps I could hear the “v” in those.
The only word I had an issue with was “recevra”

Hi Brian,
I have listened to the recording and I can't find a problem with the way the word 'recevra' is pronounced.
The -r sound is softened by the preceding -v and maybe this is the problem.
Bonne Continuation!
