Vedettes is not another choice ?
This question relates to:French writing exercise "The Paul Bocuse Institute in Lyon"

Hi Frank,
I think you are thinking of 'vedettes de cinéma' which is the word used for film stars.
Not Michelin stars, however.
Just realised Paul had answered corrected, sorry Paul!

I'm pretty sure Michelin stars are always "étoiles". I think the word "vedettes" is more used for movie stars.
