Je croyais qu'il fallait une négation avant "sans que" pour ajouter le ne explétif.

Using the ne explétif with the expression "sans que" has its own (strict) rule as explained here: Sans que (+ ne explétif) + the subjunctive mood (Le Subjonctif) = Without doing in French

In short, the rule about using the ne-explétif only if the sans que statement is negative, is not really a rule but more of a guideline. Simply speaking, the ne-explétif is also OK with a positive statement. It gives it a bit more of a formal touch.
