Verb conjugation

I have a question about this sentence : "Cette initiative nous avait tellement séduits que nous avons fini par monter notre propre coopérative !"

Why it is conjugated "séduits" with "s" instead of "séduite" (cette initiative) ?

Thank you.

Bonjour Garnet,

The past participle "séduit" is conjugated with the auxiliary "avoir", and therefore, it agrees with the direct object pronoun "nous" because it is placed before "avoir".

J'ai mangé une pomme -> Je l'ai mangée

I ate an apple -> I ate it

- Et les bonbons ?  - Elle les a mangés.

What about the sweets?  - She ate them.

Take a look here for more details about this special agreement in French:
